The Conductor's Code
Community Guidelines
The World's Longest Train is a shared, permanent canvas. Every wagon that passes inspection stays on the train forever — so we take content quality and community safety seriously. These guidelines ("the Conductor's Code") apply to all user-generated content: pixel art wagons, Galaxy FM audio tracks, competition entries, feedback, and any other submissions.
Dr. Zoltan Quantumsparks — our Chief Conductor and moderation officer — personally reviews every submission before it goes live.
What's Welcome on the Train
- ✓Original pixel art in any style — abstract, landscapes, characters, spaceships, patterns.
- ✓Artistic depictions of fictional violence (video-game style, clearly non-realistic).
- ✓Mild humour, parody, and surreal or psychedelic imagery.
- ✓Branding and logos — your own, or with explicit permission from the rights holder.
- ✓Fan art — clearly labelled, non-commercial, respectful of the source.
- ✓Audio: original chiptune, 8-bit, 16-bit, retro synth, lo-fi, ambient tracks.
- ✓Audio: music you composed and produced, or tracks under a Creative Commons or open licence that permits commercial use.
What Will Not Pass Inspection
- ✗Hate speech, slurs, or content that demeans people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
- ✗Explicit sexual content, nudity, or pornographic material.
- ✗Graphic real-world violence, gore, or imagery glorifying violence against real people.
- ✗Content that promotes, glorifies, or recruits for terrorist organisations or extremist movements.
- ✗Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance, immediately reported to authorities.
- ✗Personally identifiable information of others without consent (doxxing).
- ✗Advertising or spam — unsolicited commercial content, phishing, or deceptive links.
- ✗Copyrighted pixel art copied without permission (e.g. direct rips of Nintendo sprites, unlicensed game art).
- ✗Audio: covers of commercially released music without a mechanical licence.
- ✗Audio: AI-generated music using third-party artists' voice or style without explicit consent.
- ✗Content that mimics or impersonates another person or organisation deceptively.
Grey Areas & Context
Pixel art is an inherently ambiguous medium. A 32×16 skeleton could be playful; a 128×64 image with a swastika is not. We assess content in context. When in doubt, Dr. Zoltan's word is final — but you can always appeal (see below).
Political content is not outright prohibited, but content that incites hatred or targets real people negatively will be rejected.
Moderation Outcomes
Approved ✓
Your wagon goes live on the train. You receive a confirmation email with a shareable link and QR code.
Soft Reject — Fix & Resubmit
The work needs changes to pass inspection. You get a reason and a 7-day window to fix and resubmit using the same slot. Your position on the train is held during this period. No additional €1 fee to resubmit.
Hard Reject — Submission Declined
Content that violates these guidelines materially (hate speech, CSAM, malware links, etc.) is permanently rejected. Repeat serious violations result in account suspension.
Account Suspension / Ban
Accounts that repeatedly or severely violate the Conductor's Code may be suspended or permanently banned. Banned accounts lose access to the platform. Published wagons may be removed at our discretion.
Competition Rules
- Each competition has its own canvas size and theme — read the brief carefully.
- One entry per user per competition.
- Entries must be original work created for the competition — not repurposed wagons.
- Voting (where enabled) is one vote per user. Vote manipulation is grounds for disqualification.
- Winners are selected by Dr. Zoltan or community vote, as specified per competition. His decision is final.
- Prize details (if any) are specified per competition. Prizes are non-transferable.
Appeals
If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you may appeal within 14 days of receiving the notification. Send an email to appeals@interstellarxp.com with:
- Your account email address.
- The submission ID or wagon position number.
- A clear explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect.
Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days. The appeal decision is final. We do not engage in repeated appeals for the same submission.
Reporting Harmful Content
If you see content that violates these guidelines or is illegal, please report it immediately:
- Email: legal@interstellarxp.com
- For illegal content (DSA): DSA Notice & Takedown
Include the URL or position number of the content. We aim to respond to all reports within 24 hours for illegal content and 72 hours for guideline violations.
Updates to These Guidelines
These guidelines may be updated as the platform evolves. Registered users will be notified of material changes by email. Last updated: 25 May 2026.
